LOGAN'S LANDING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP: This spring, Logan’s Landing will award one $500 scholarship to a Logansport High School student entering his/her freshman year of college in the fall of 2012.  Dancing With Our Stars organizer Pam Leeman stated, “The amazing response to our Dancing With Our Stars events proves to us that the Logansport community recognizes the importance of the arts in downtown revitalization.” Board President Kathy Dingo stated, “The Logan’s Landing organization wanted to use some of the money raised at these events to encourage the next generation of citizens to continue their arts-related activities and volunteerism.”

Eligible students must have been involved in the arts while in high school, through arts-related curriculum and/or extra-curricular activities, and must continue their involvement with the arts while in college. Applicants must provide a description of their volunteer activities while in high school, and preference will be given to those whose volunteer work involves the arts and/or Logan’s Landing.  Applicants must submit an essay of 100-250 words on the topic “Why the Arts Are Important to Me.”
