Christmas 2011 Holiday Closings, trash pickup schedule, recycling info

All Logansport Civil City offices will be closed on Monday, December 26, 2011,

Logansport Municipal Utility offices will be closed Friday, December 23 and Monday, December 26 for the Christmas Holiday.

The Cass County Government Building will be closed on Monday, Dec. 26.

All Social Security offices will be closed Monday December 26 in observance of Christmas. However, Social Security’s online services will be available from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. ET at www.socialsecurity.gov and 24-hour automated telephone services will be available by calling 1-800-772-1213. Normal office hours will resume Tuesday December 27 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at all Social Security offices.”

Trash Pickup: Wabash Valley Refuse will not be working on Monday, December 26th, therefore; all Logansport city residential trash & recycling routes will be collected one day late next week.

Cass County Solid Waste reminds users that recycling drop-off sites will not be serviced until Tuesday, Dec. 27, which will likely result in some bins being filled to capacity. Residents are asked to refrain from putting items on the ground during that period. A similar schedule will be observed for New Year's. 

CHRISTMAS WRAPPING: May be recycled in roll-off bins but not through the curbside recycling program. STYROFOAM IS NOT ACCEPTED. Please break down cardboard boxes to help the district save space and money in the recycling process.
