Final R-Days of 2011 announced

The last regular R-Day of 2011 will be Saturday, Dec. 3, to be followed by the Royal Center R-Day on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Cass Solid Waste Director Dick Hettinger says that only regular recyclables will be accepted on these dates. Members of the Logansport High School Safe Club will help at Logansport on Saturday while the Goat Club will assist at Royal Cetner. Different youth groups assist the district all year.

Meanwhile Hettinger says that in 2012 there will be R-Days every other month. Until 2011 there were monthly events but a loss of funding forced the cutback in the schedules. The dates for 2012 will be revealed in the media as soon as possible.
