Fourth of July Celebrations

Cass County communities will be celebrating America's birthday with food, fireworks and of course, the world's oldest riding lawnmower race on July 4, 2010, but with some minor changes.

TWELVE MILE: Since the holiday falls on a Sunday, the parade will start a little later this year — at 12:30 p.m. Fireworks will be held on Saturday, and the 48th running of the Twelve Mile 500 happens Sunday afternoon following the parade. Click here for a full list of events in Twelve Mile.

LOGANSPORT: Fourth of July festivities in Logansport move to a new location this year — Riverside Park. The City of Logansport Fireworks Program is presented by the Logansport Parks Department this year, since long-time supporters, the Logansport Jaycees, closed their chapter earlier this year. There will also be free admission at the Tower Park Municipal Pool. Click here for a full list of events in Logansport.

WALTON: Walton throws a big Independence Day bash for a small town. There will be vendors, a parade, a car show, fish and tenderloin fry and live entertainment before fireworks light up the sky over the Walton SE Park. Click here for a schedule of events in Walton.
