How can I dispose of electronics?

The Cass County Solid Waste District normally holds an Electronic Waste Collection Day — E-Waste Day -- on the third Saturday in May. Check CassCountyCalendar.com for details. Contact the Cass County Solid Waste Management office at (574) 753-9253 for more information.
Waste Management has opened an electronics recycling bin at the Oak Ridge Recycling Facility which is open five days a week from 6 a.m. - 3 :30 p.m. A lot of smaller electronic items are free, but there is a charge of $15 for a TV or computer monitor due to the cost of recycling them. Visitors must stop at the office but disposal after that is relatively easy.
Other options include giving working television sets to  charities or someone who needs them, or checking with stores that sell TVs to see if they will take them back. A computer check on your favorite search engine will likely give you a list of those stores.
