Light Up Logansport parade happens Nov. 25, 2011
Make Logansport Indiana a destination to get you in the Christmas Spirit on the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 25 at 7 p.m.You will see the inspirational Light Up Logansport Parade. This year will mark the 11th year anniversary of the Parade! These unique light up masterpieces are sponsored and built by local businesses. These terrific floats will be on display until Jan. 1 at the Little Turtle Waterway Plaza. This event attracts thousands of people, so come and be part of the fun!
Join us for lots of fun pre-parade festivities! All pre-parade activities will be held in the Security Federal Savings Bank lot. Help Toys for Tots by bringing an unwrapped toy to the toy collection box. Santa will be here from 5:30 pm to 6:45 pm to greet children and pass out candy and other items. The Post Office will also be on sight collecting letters to Santa for kids who may be too shy to meet him in person. Hot dogs and chips, provided by Security Federal Savings Bank, will be served by the Salvation Army. Woodbridge will be serving hot chocolate. The Logansport Children’s Choir will be performing in the Security Federal lot at 6pm. The Reading Railroad will be there as well, handing out free books for the kids! After the parade, Santa will be in the vicinity mingling with children where the stationary floats are on display in the Little Turtle Waterway. Those who cannot attend the pre-parade festivities may drop off unwrapped toys after the parade at the PNC parking lot, where a collection box for Toys for Tots will be located. The Depot will not be open after the parade this year.
