LMHF announces 2010 George Poor Scholarship winners

Achievement

Logansport Memorial Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the winners of the 2010 George Poor Scholarship. A total of $3,000.00 was awarded this year in honor of the late George Poor for whom the scholarship is named. Poor was Logansport Memorial Hospital’s CEO from 1989 to 1999 and believed education bettered the individual and the institution where he or she is employed. The George Poor Scholarship is funded largely by employee contributions generated by the Annual LMHF Employee Campaign.

LMHF awarded scholarships to nine Logansport Memorial Hospital employees pursuing degrees and accreditation for the betterment of themselves and LMH. The 2010 recipients include Teresa Ann Coppernoll, Rebekah Foerman, Sara Hardy, Ginger Hines, Brenda Hollis, Rachelle Gordon, Lyndsey Kasten, Tracey Kline, and Megan Meinert. LMHF considers it a great honor to present these scholarships, which may be used for tuition, books, or associated class expenses for any course of study that would benefit the employee in his/her position at Logansport Memorial Hospital.
