Property taxes due Nov. 10, 2011

The Cass County Treasurer's Office would like to remind taxpayers that the second installment of property tax is due Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011. The office will be operating with reduced staff for this collection. Taxpayers who wish to avoid waiting in line are encouraged to use the drop box located by the flag pole in the government building parking lot, 200 Court Park, Logansport, or U.S. mail. Receipts will be mailed to taxpayers who include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Payments can be made in the office with cash, check or money order; debit and credit cards are not accepted in the office. Taxpayers using debit or credit cards can pay online at www.casstax.net; processing fees are charged when paying online. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Payments made after midnight on Nov. 10, 2011 or postmarked after Nov. 10, 2011 will incur applicable penalties.
