What are the city's rules for yard signs or garage sale signs?

The City of Logansport's Zoning Ordinance states that signs are not to be placed in the public right of way.  This is the grassy area between the street and the sidewalk or any area outside the light poles. The signs must be placed on private property with the owner’s permission. This includes, but is not limited to garage sale signs, advertisement signs, real estate signs, political and campaign signs.  Also, signs are not to be placed on utility poles, traffic poles (such as stop signs and traffic light poles) and the blue mail drop boxes.  Any violation may result in a per day fine of anywhere between $100 - $300.
