Louise Wandrei, 92 years old of Logansport, passed away Friday, February 13, 2015 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born February 1, 1923. in Logansport, she was the daughter of Anthony J. and Mary Eva Ollinger Bender.

On May 24, 1941, in Logansport, she was married to Clarence Wandrei. He preceded her in death on June 28, 2000.

A homemaker, Louise had a passion for cooking for her family. She also enjoyed board games. Louise was a member of the Riverview Wesleyan Church now known as “The Bridge.”

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence “Fred” and Carole Wandrei of Marion and Charles E. and Jean Wandrei, of Royal Center; one sister, Glorine Smith of Logansport; one sister-in-law, Mabel Rehwald of Logansport; three grandsons, David Wandrei of Logansport, Jeffery Wandrei of Indianapolis and Jarret (wife Heather) Wandrei of Zionsville, one step-grandson, David (wife Heather) Cassady of Indianapolis two great-grandchildren, Kenzie and Avery Wandrei of Zionsville; and three step-great-grandchildren, Zach Risenbigler of California and Keeley and Liam Cassady of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death two brothers, George Bender and Bernard Bender.

A funeral service celebrating the life of Louise Wandrei will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, February 16, 2015 in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport, with Pastors Steve Fletcher and Zach Szmara officiating.

Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday in the funeral chapel.
