Thelma Jean James

Thelma Jean James, 83, of Kokomo, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 8 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015, in her home.
Born March 19, 1931, in Logansport, she was the daughter of John Jacob Zeider and Katherine Grassmyer Zeider.
On December 10, 1947, in Logansport, she was married to Ben Bert James who preceded her in death Nov. 7, 1973.
Thelma was retired from H.W. Gossard where she had worked as a seamstress.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Sarah James, of Logansport and Kent and Melissa James of Kokomo, one sister, Bertha Hoch, of Logansport; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Timothy James.
A funeral service celebrating the life of Thelma James will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015, in Fisher Funeral Chapel, Logansport.
Friends may call from noon until the time of the services on Wednesday in the funeral chapel.
