The week of March 9 – 13 was officially recognized as Pulmonary Rehab week, and Logansport Memorial Hospital wants to take the time to recognize our staff and patients here who are part of that program.

Pulmonary rehabilitation at Logansport Memorial Hospital is an essential service that we are pleased to offer on-site for patients who need it. Having our program here makes sure that patients with breathing and/or pulmonary problems (like COPD) can manage their symptoms or recover fast for an improved quality of life.  Our program is also accredited by the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR), which makes us a recognized leader among other pulmonary rehabilitation programs with our advanced treatment options and practices.

Currently, our Pulmonary Rehab program has the largest number of patients participating it has seen since 1986. In a little over two years, the program has grown from 5 patients to 30 patients. Members of our staff Amanda McLain, Amanda Maxwell, and Randee Schultz have all done a tremendous job in helping to grow this program and serve more patients. You do need a referral to participate in the program from your primary care provider. If you have questions about being involved or think this might be a good option for you, staff is happy to talk with you by phone at (574) 753-1364.
