Office of Dr. Dallis Bowditch moving back to Logansport Memorial Hospital

Dr. Dallis Bowditch, a long-time family medicine physician with Logansport Memorial Hospital, has been seeing patients in his regular practice located out at ExpressMed Logansport, since it first opened in 2008. In addition to maintaining his own practice and continuing to see patients, Dr. Bowditch was also serving as the medical director for the LMH walk-in, convenient care clinic.

Upon hiring Dr. Rene S. Gutierrez, who started at ExpressMed full-time as part of the Logansport Memorial Physician Network in October 2015, Dr. Bowditch will now move his practice back to an office located on the hospital campus. Nurse practitioners Wonda Elmore, FNP and Kim Bice, FNP will also be relocating to the same office on campus to see patients.

Dr. Bowditch’s new location is located at LMH in Medical Office Building West:
1201 Michigan Avenue, Suite 140
Logansport, IN  46947

Phone: (574) 753-1462

“I am really looking forward to going back to a traditional office setting to see my patients,” said Dr. Bowditch. “I have enjoyed my time at ExpressMed and have seen firsthand what a valuable service it provides for our community. I am glad that Dr. Gutierrez has come on board to maintain ExpressMed as a true walk-in, convenient care clinic as it was originally designed to be.”

He goes on to add, “I can understand how using ExpressMed may have been confusing at times for some patients. My patients came in to see me as their regular primary care physician, and they had to make an appointment for that. But to use the nurse practitioners and take advantage of the convenient care we can provide after-hours and on weekends, patients did not have to make an appointment. Having two different types of care provided in the same location may have been difficult to navigate in certain situations. By returning to an office setting, we can all achieve what’s best for patients – making a clear distinction between seeing me at a scheduled appointment, and in using ExpressMed as a convenient treatment option when you can’t get in to see your primary care provider, or if you don’t have one at all.”

For established patients of Dr. Bowditch, please use this new information to call, schedule, and attend your primary care appointments. Dr. Bowditch’s new office is scheduled to open on Wednesday, November 4.
