Indiana 4-H enrollment is underway statewide for the 2016 4-H program year. 4-H Families will create their own login and password at in.4honline.com that will be used multiple times throughout the year to communicate and transfer information to their local Purdue Extension office, such as change of email or mailing address, registering for state and county events and receiving newsletters and other pertinent information.
Enrollment dates are Oct. 1, 2015 through January 15, 2016. The on-line enrollment window is the same for all counties.
Project drop and add deadline is May 15, 2016, except for prior livestock deadlines.
Families that do not have internet access should contact the Extension office at 574-753-7750 or a 4-H leader for further assistance with enrollment.
What is 4-H? It is the nation’s largest youth development and empowerment organization, reaching more than 7 million 4-H youth in urban neighborhoods, suburban schoolyards and rural farming communities. Fueled by university-backed curriculum, 4-H children engage in the hands-on learning of science, healthy living and food security. 4-H eligibility is grades 3-12. Mini 4-H for Cass County is grades 1st and 2nd.
Cass County 4-H information nights will be held:
Wednesday, Nov. 18: 6:30-7:30 p.m., Thompson Elem. School Cafeteria
Thursday, Nov. 19: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Pioneer Elem. School Gym
Tues. Dec. 1: 7:00-8:00 p.m., Cloverleaf Complex, Cass County fairgrounds.
These events are hosted for families interested in learning more about the 4-H program and to meet some of the 4-H leaders in Cass County.
