The Cass County Community Foundation is excited to announce a special “Thanks-for-Giving” Grant to the Cass County Carousel. The “Thanks-for Giving” Grant will provide funds to be used to pay the expenses for the Carousel’s Friday and Saturday opening after the Thanksgiving holiday and will allow all rides to be free.

In announcing the grant, CCCF President Deanna Crispen shared, “Many years, we host a “Thanks-for-Giving” event in November to thank the community and honor special individuals for giving back. Last year we did not schedule the traditional event but decided to provide a special grant to allow the Carousel to be open and free on the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving. We received such an outpouring of support from young and old alike that the board has decided to provide the free rides again this year.”

CCCF Board Chairman, Thillia Reynolds added, “Thanksgiving is always a special time for so many folks to come home and visit family and friends in Logansport and Cass County. Those families almost always recall wonderful memories of riding the Denzel Carousel as children and grabbing the brass ring. What better way to celebrate the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday than to be sure everyone who wants to ride can do so without cost.”

The Carousel will be open both Friday, November 27th and Saturday November 28th from 1-5 pm.
