Cass County Recycling District looks to 2016

Last Updated on December 29, 2015 by cassnetwork

To kick off the New Year, the Cass County Solid Waste Management District has a new name! The community will now recognize us as:  CASS COUNTY RECYCLING DISTRICT. This is the official establishment for the disposal of recycling material in Cass County. Our facility is the product of a state mandate created in 1991. We are still in the same location and continue to provide the same recycling services to the community.

I think of a name change as progress. By using ‘recycling’ in our title, this makes us more recognizable to our residents and other agencies. The ‘solid waste’ label is understandably confusing as to what services the District provides—although educating the public about all of our services will be an ongoing process. We want our residents to easily identify that we’re good environmental stewards while in turn helping them to be the same—we’re your recycling opportunity and more.

Along with a new name to the facility, our web address has been updated as well. The new domain name is Check out our web page to learn more about our programs and services we offer to Cass County residents.

We hope that in the coming year, you’ll make a resolution to learn how you can protect the community and our environment by recycling knowledgably and responsibly. We are always here to answer any questions you have. Our number is RECYCLE or 732-9253.

From all of us here at the District, we hope you all had a Merry Christmas and have a safe and happy New Year! And as always, Stay Green!
