SOURCE: News release from Logansport Memorial Hospital

In an effort to continue preventing the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), influenza, and other infectious diseases, Logansport Memorial Hospital announces additional tightening of visitor restrictions.

No visitors will be permitted at Logansport Memorial Hospital, effective tomorrow –Tuesday, March 24, 2020 until further notice.

Exceptions will be considered in the following areas where a patient may receive one HEALTHY visitor for a limited time period, based on the care situation:

  • Labor and delivery
  • ER
  • Surgical patients or patients receiving sedation
  • End-of-life situations

For pediatric patients, the patient must be accompanied by one HEALTHY adult at all times. A healthy visitor will be defined as having no fever, cough, or respiratory symptoms. Approved visitors will still be screened by LMH staff before being allowed in the facility for any respiratory symptoms, fever, or possible exposure .Visitors under the age of 18 (including the children of OB patients) are still not allowed on the LMH campus, under any circumstances.

At this time, there are no changes in restricted access.

  • Medical Office Building East: 6 a.m. –5 p.m., Monday-Friday
  • ER: evenings after 5 p.m., weekends, 24/7

We realize that this is an additional inconvenience, but it is one more step we can take to protect our patients, our staff, and our community.
