The first official day of summer may still be a couple of weeks away, but for many local families, summer vacation is here. Here’s a roundup of just a few of the things listed on CassCountyCalendar.com! New events are added daily, so check back often so you don’t miss out on any of the fun! And if you’re planning an event that isn’t listed, make sure to add it to the calendar!

Grab the Brass Ring
The Cass County Carousel at Riverside Park is open weeknights from 6-9 p.m. (until school starts) and weekends from 1-9 p.m. (through Labor Day).
Check out the Logansport Farmer’s Market
Located at 4th and Market Streets in Logansport, the Farmer’s Market will be open for business from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from June through October. Wednesdays (3 to 6 p.m.) will be added in July, August and September. | Details
Sundown Summer Music Series
Sunday nights through the end of August, several area organizations team up to host performances by area musicians at a local park at 7 p.m. Bring a lawnchair or blanket and enjoy this outdoor event. The weekly schedule is listed on CassCountyCalendar.com.
Check with area libraries in Logansport, Walton, Royal Center and Galveston for summer programs and events!
Summer Food Program
Summer lunch programs for kids 18 and under are available throughout the community this summer. Get details here.
The Cass County Family Y will host Healthy Kids Day on August 14 at Muehlhausen Park. | Details
Vacation Bible School
Many area churches offer VBS programs for area children. Churches are welcome to submit the details at www.casscountycalendar.com – check the link for our most up to date list of info we’ve received!
Play in the Parks
In addition to some fantastic parks, the Logansport Parks Department offers some great programs. The Muehlhausen Aquatic Center opens on June 8. You can get the details of their summer events here.
You can also check out France Park, which is a county park, or take a walk or bike ride on one of the trails.
Head for the fair!
The Cass County 4-H Fair is scheduled for July 11-17 at the Cass County 4-H Fairgrounds. Most people tend to visit the fair in the evening, when the rides and merchants buildings are open, but there are also activities during the day, including many of the livestock shows, story time at the fair and delicious meals made by the Cass County Extension Homemakers. Stay tuned for more info on the fair!

See a show!
Civic Players will present “Hair” June 25 – 27 at McHale Performing Arts Center.
Logansport Junior Civic Theater presents “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at McHale Performing Arts Center July 23, 24 & 25.
Pick a parade!
Cass County has some great parades! Check out the Pioneer Days Parade in Royal Center on June 19, visit Twelve Mile in the morning and Walton in the afternoon for July 4 parades and stay tuned for details on the Shrine Parade later this summer!
Tour the county or taste it!
Taste of Cass County is scheduled for August 14 and the Two Rivers on Two Wheels Bike Tour is set for September 18.
Back to School
Enjoy the summer but be sure to watch for details on fall registration for area schools and details on Back to School parties and giveaways, too!
