You’ll find lots of holiday programming through streaming services like Netflix and Disney+, but there’s just something about watching your holiday favorites on cable, with breaks for holiday commercials.

There may be additions to this list, but here’s when you can catch some holiday favorites – old and new.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (CBS)

11/22: RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER | 8-9 p.m. | CBS | This favorite is a music story based on the popular song of the same name by Johnny Marks. It recounts the tale of a shy reindeer whose Christmas spirit is dampened because his shiny nose has made him the laughingstock of all of Christmasville.

11/24: A SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE THANKSGIVING | 9-11 p.m. | NBC | The iconic late-night program will highlight memorable Thanksgiving-themed sketches from its 47 seasons.

THURSDAY, NOV. 25, 2021

11/25: 95th ANNUAL MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE[®] | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and Encore 2-5 p.m. | NBC, Peacock and Telemundo | A spectacle like no other returns this year as the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® takes to the streets of New York City and ushers in the start of the holiday season. For decades the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been one of the nation’s most anticipated and watched holiday celebrations. Viewers nationwide can catch all the action via the special broadcasts on NBC and Telemundo, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in all time zones, and for the first time fans can also livestream coverage on Peacock. Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb and Al Roker from “Today” will host the three-hour telecast for NBC and Peacock. NBC will air an encore of the Parade from 2-5 p.m. ET.

11/25: THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON CBS | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | CBS | Hosted by ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT’s Kevin Frazier and Keltie Knight, the Thanksgiving Day Parade returns to Sixth Avenue. This year’s special will take viewers on a tour of the most popular balloons and floats including the iconic Santa Claus. Also, the show will feature musical performances and celebrity interviews.

11/25: NATIONAL DOG SHOW PRESENTED BY PURINA | 12 p.m. | NBC and Peacock | NBC will ring in the 20th year of celebrating man’s best friend with the family-favorite holiday special “The National Dog Show Presented by Purina,” airing Thanksgiving Day (noon-2 p.m. in all time zones), Nov. 25, following the telecast of NBC’s “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.” Peacock will simulcast the special at noon and an encore will air Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. on NBC.

11/25: THE MAGIC MAKER | 8-9 p.m. | ABC | This Thanksgiving, famed magician Adam Trent breaks the No. 1 rule of magic and puts magic in the hands of everyday people to help them with the biggest and most emotional moments of their lives. Whether it’s helping a U.S. soldier “magically” reappear to his family after serving overseas or teaching a nervous young man to “walk on water” for his marriage proposal, Adam Trent spends this holiday amazing and astonishing viewers while making dreams come true as “The Magic Maker.”

11/26: HOW THE GRINCH STOLE CHRISTMAS | 8-8:30 p.m. | NBC | The classic 1966 cartoon features the voice of Boris Karloff as the Grinch.

11/26: FIVE MORE SLEEPS ‘TIL CHRISTMAS | 8:30-9 p.m. | NBC | “Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon is turning his bestselling children’s book into a primetime animated special.

11/26: TROLLS HOLIDAY IN HARMONY | 9-9:30 p.m. | NBC | When Queen Poppy plans the first annual Trolls Kingdom Secret Holiday Gift Swap, things take an unexpected turn when she and Branch draw each other’s name.

SATURDAY, NOV. 27, 2021:

11/27: ROBBIE THE REINDEER: HOOVES OF FIRE | 8-8:30 p.m. | CBS | In this animated special, Robbie must train to compete in the Reindeer Races to become a part of the sleigh team for Santa.

11/27: ROBBIE THE REINDEER: LEGENDS OF THE LOST TRIBE | 8:30-9:00 p.m. | CBS | In the second of two 30-minute specials, Robbie battles Blitzen in an effort to stop his nemesis’ launch of a reindeer theme park.

11/27: THE STORY OF SANTA CLAUS | 9-10 p.m. | CBS | This animated musical holiday special revolves around a gentle toymaker whose only wish is to deliver a toy to every child on Christmas.

Filmed at two sold-out shows at Radio City Music Hall in August 2021 to celebrate Bennett’s 95th birthday, the live concert brings together the two incredible entertainers performing duets and solo songs honoring their shared love of the Great American Songbook.

11/29: CMA COUNTRY CHRISTMAS | 8-9 p.m. | ABC | CMA Country Christmas” brings the holidays home again, inviting viewers to sit back and enjoy the season in a warm and intimate home setting reminiscent of classic Christmas television specials of the past. Coming together for a night of festive performances and cozy holiday moments, “CMA Country Christmas” is sure to celebrate the magic of the Christmas season.

12/1: 89TH ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN ROCKEFELLER CENTER: | 8-10 p.m. | NBC | NBC once again heralds the arrival of the holidays with a dazzling display of musical talents, star-studded surprises and the lighting of the world’s most famous Christmas tree.

12/1: KELLY CLARKSON PRESENTS: WHEN CHRISTMAS COMES AROUND | 10 p.m. | NBC | Timed to the release of her new holiday album, the “Kelly Clarkson Presents: When Christmas Comes Around” holiday spectacular will air Wednesday, Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. The special will be filled with Clarkson’s new original songs as well as a curated list of iconic classics, dancing, superstar performances featuring My Band Y’All with a streamlined modern orchestra and remarkable duets. Brett Eldredge, Ariana Grande, Jay Leno, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Odom Jr., Amy Poehler and the one-and-only Santa Claus will join Clarkson and some special everyday heroes with life-changing surprises.

THURSDAY, DEC. 2, 2021

12/2: ANNIE LIVE! | 8-11 p.m. | NBC | From the production team that produced NBC’s award-winning musicals “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Hairspray Live!,” this musical event will revisit the beloved story of Annie. Live from New York, this fresh take will feature a star-studded cast, including Harry Connick Jr., Nicole Scherzinger, Tituss Burgess, featuring Jane Krakowski, with, Celina Smith as Annie and Taraji P. Henson.

12/2: OLAF’S FROZEN ADVENTURE | 8-8:30 p.m. | ABC | – Olaf teams up with Sven on a merry mission. It’s the first holiday season since the gates reopened, and Anna and Elsa host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save Anna and Elsa’s “first Christmas in forever.”

12/2: TOY STORY THAT TIME FORGOT | 8:30-9 p.m. | ABC – Pixar Animation Studios’ special for television “Toy Story That Time Forgot” features everyone’s favorite characters from the “Toy Story” films. During a post-Christmas play date, the “Toy Story” gang finds themselves in uncharted territory when the coolest set of action figures ever turns out to be dangerously delusional. It’s all up to Trixie the triceratops if the gang hopes to return to Bonnie’s room.

12/4: IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE | 8-11 p.m. | NBC | In this Frank Capra classic starring Jimmy Stewart, an angel is sent from heaven to help a desperately frustrated businessman by showing him what life would have been like if he had never existed.

12/5: THE 23RD ANNUAL A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS AT THE GROVE | 9:30-10:30 p.m. | CBS | The entertainment special features uplifting stories of adoption from foster care and raises awareness of this important social issue. The inspirational stories of these American families are enhanced with performances by some of today’s top artists (to be announced shortly), performing from The Grove in Los Angeles.

MONDAY, DEC. 6, 2021

12/6: A VERY BOY BAND HOLIDAY | 8-9 p.m. | ABC | “A Very Boy Band Holiday” brings together an all-star cast featuring members from your favorite boy bands to sing their holiday hits and celebrate the season. It’s a festive night to reminisce, harmonize and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year together. More details about performances to come and expect some special surprises to keep spirits bright!

12/6: MICHAEL BUBLÉ’S CHRISTMAS IN THE CITY | 10-11 p.m. | NBC | Multi-Grammy Award-winning Michael Bublé returns to NBC to celebrate the 10th anniversary of his chart-topping album, “Christmas,” with a new holiday special. “Michael Bublé’s Christmas in the City” presents a mix of comedy, music and, of course, the spirit of Christmas, all from Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center.

12/12: A CHRISTMAS PROPOSAL | 8:30-10:30 p.m. | CBS | A down-on-her-luck chef, Maria Winters (Jessica Camacho), who dreams of starting her own line of food trucks, agrees to pose as the girlfriend of a hotshot Seattle attorney, Julian Diaz (Adam Rodriguez), visiting his family for Christmas, to help him prove he’s the ideal candidate to take over the family firm. But their business arrangement is complicated by the magic of the season as real sparks begin to fly.

12/13: 20 YEARS OF CHRISTMAS WITH THE TABERNACLE CHOIR | 8 p.m. | NBC | A special two-hour anniversary retrospective program hosted by Broadway legend and Tony Award-winner Brian Stokes Mitchell. 12/15: A VERY CHRISTLEY CHRISTMAS | 9:30-10 p.m. | NBC | Nanny Faye is feeling nostalgic this year and offers to have Christmas morning at her house. After Todd reluctantly agrees to the new holiday plans, he goes head-to-head with Nanny on decorations in a battle of “couture vs. kitsch.” When Chloe finds out about the change of plans, she is concerned that Santa won’t be able to find her at Nanny’s house. Savannah helps her craft a letter to the North Pole but Todd forgets to send it off. After a series of blunders and holiday hijinks, the Chrisley family needs a Christmas miracle to save the big day.

12/17: SING | 8-9 p.m. | NBC | In a city of humanoid animals, a hustling theater impresario’s attempt to save his theater with a singing competition becomes grander than he anticipates even as its finalists find that their lives will never be the same. The animated musical comedy film stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Seth MacFarlane.

12/19: CHRISTMAS TAKES FLIGHT | 8-10 p.m. | CBS | A holiday battle of wills between pilot Jenny Beckett (Katie Lowes) and Matt Hansen (Evan Williams), a number-crunching CEO who purchases Jenny’s family-owned, regional airline. Matt’s cost-cutting initiatives threaten Christmas when he cancels the airline’s annual holiday charitable benefit for underserved children. Determined to show Matt that the sweetest things in life are worth any price, Jenny rallies the community to help save the event and unexpectedly finds herself falling for the magnate in the process.

12/22: THE PRICE IS RIGHT AT NIGHT | 8-10 p.m. | CBS | Drew Carey hosts a special holly-jolly-themed primetime episode where families come on down to the iconic game show stage and play for festive prizes. Plus, the show highlights pet adoption when they showcase animals looking for their fur-ever homes this holiday season.  

12/22: THE 44th ANNUAL KENNEDY CENTER HONORS | 9-11 p.m. | CBS | Recipients to be honored at the annual national celebration of the arts in Washington, D.C. are operatic bass-baritone Justino Díaz; Motown founder, songwriter, producer and director Berry Gordy; “Saturday Night Live” creator Lorne Michaels; legendary stage and screen icon Bette Midler; and singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell. CBS has broadcast the special each year since its debut 44 years ago.

12/31: DICK CLARK’S NEW YEAR’S ROCKIN’ EVE WITH RYAN SEACREST | 8 p.m. | ABC | In his 17th year, multihyphenate headlining host Ryan Seacrest will oversee New Year’s festivities in Times Square. This year marks the 50th anniversary of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve,” America’s go-to annual New Year’s tradition, which celebrates the year’s very best in music. The show sets the stage to ring in the new year with more than five and a half hours of dynamic performances airing until 2:00 a.m. EST and gives viewers a look at New Year’s celebrations from around the globe.

12/31: NEW YEAR’S EVE LIVE: NASHVILLE’S BIG BASH | 8-11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. | CBS | Country music’s hottest superstars will ring in the new year from downtown Nashville across multiple locations. The star-studded special will be packed with high-energy performances celebrating the excitement and anticipation of a new year, with performers including Jason Aldean, Jimmie Allen, Kelsea Ballerini, Gabby Barrett, Dierks Bentley, Brooks & Dunn, Luke Bryan, Elle King, Miranda Lambert, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Cole Swindell, Zac Brown Band and more.
