William M. Brown Jr.

William M. Brown Jr. 79 of Galveston, IN passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at 8:15am.   He was born February 13, 1942, in Rolla, MO to William M. and Jessie L. (McDowell) Brown.  He married Shirley (Mahaska) Turner on May 27, 2007, in Galveston and she survives.

Bill served in the US Air Force as a hydraulic mechanic and continued his career with the Civil Service at Grissom AFB until his retirement in 2002.

In his spare time Bill loved spending time with his family, working in his yard, riding his Harley Davidson and playing with his beloved dog Sadie.

Bill is survived by his wife, Shirley, and his two daughters, Rhonda (John) Kelly of St. James, MO and Nicole (James) Dix of Anderson, IN.  Surviving family also includes Son-in-law Paul Seddon, stepchildren: David Gardner, Sabrina Vandenberg, Terry Turner Jr., Sherri Wade and Jason Turner.  Surviving grandchildren include Elaina Tanner, Erica Roberge, Taylor Agraviador, Collin Agraviador, Kenton Dix and Grace Dix.  He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren: Tyler, Stiehl, Gabriel, Logan, Ezekial and Haisleigh. Also Surviving are two sisters, Beverly (Joe) Erger of St. Louis, MO and Linda O’Brien of Medford, OR.

Bill is proceded in death by his parents, daughter, Sharon K. Seddon and sister Donna Mae Brown.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at New Life Church, 1803 E. Vaile Ave., Kokomo, Indiana with Pastor Sharon Daniel officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m prior to services at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to New Life Church in Bill’s memory.
