🗑️ TRASH PICKUP:
- LOGANSPORT: Republic Services trash routes will be one day behind the weeks of Christmas (Dec. 25) and New Year’s (January 1).| See the schedule here.
- ROYAL CENTER: Trash pickup will be delayed the weeks of December 25 and January 1 due to the holidays. Pickup will be on Saturday both weeks.
- GALVESTON: Trash Pickup will be on Saturday, Dec. 30 and Saturday, January 6. If all of your garbage cannot fit into the tote this week (Dec. 30), Republic Services will pick up two additional garbage bags this Saturday if you place them next to your tote.
📮 MAIL DELIVERY
This year, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve each fall on Sunday, when normal closures apply. There are currently no plans for limited hours on Saturday, Dec. 23 or Saturday, Dec. 30. Customers are always encouraged to check with their local Post Office for hours of operation. Additionally, there are currently no plans for early blue box collection times on Saturday, Dec. 23 or Saturday, Dec. 30. Customers who are unable to mail items before the scheduled collection box pickup times on Dec. 23 and Dec. 30 should use the postal locator at tools.usps.com to find Post Office locations that may be open late.
In observance of the two holidays, Post Offices will be closed on Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1. Blue collection boxes will not be serviced these days and there are no residential or business deliveries — except for Priority Mail Express, which is delivered 365 days a year in select locations for an additional fee. Following those holiday closures, Post Offices will be open and regular mail delivery resumes on Tuesday, Dec. 26, and Tuesday, Jan. 2.
As a reminder, blue collection boxes are not serviced on Sundays or federal holidays.

🚗 All Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicle (BMV) branches will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23 – Tuesday, Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Wednesday, Dec. 27. Additionally, branches will be closed Saturday, Dec. 30 – Monday, Jan. 1, 2024 in observance of the New Year’s holiday. Branches will resume regularly scheduled business hours on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024. Visit this link for a list of branch hours by location. Customers can also complete over a dozen common transactions at a BMV Connect kiosk or online at myBMV.com.
🏛️ The Cass County Government Building will be closed Friday, Dec. 22, Monday, Dec. 25, Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 and Monday, January 1, 2024.
🏛️ The Logansport City Building will be closed on Dec. 22 and 25 in observance of Christmas. Services will resume on Dec. 26, 2023. The City Building will be closed on January 1, 2024 in observance of New Year’s Day. Services will resume on January 2, 2024.
🔌 Logansport Utilities’ office hours will be adjusted on several days in December and January due to observance of the Christmas and New Year’s Day holidays. The customer service office will be open with limited hours at the city building, 8:30a.m. until Noon, on Friday, December 22, 2023. All Logansport Utilities’ offices will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023, and Tuesday, December 26, 2023. All Logansport Utilities’ offices will be closed on Monday, January 1, 2024. Normal business hours resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
🏛️ Galveston Town Hall will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2023 in observance of Christmas. It will also be closed on Monday, January 1 (New years Day).
🌲 Logansport Parks and Recreation Department / Penman Building will be closed Dec. 22, Dec. 25-29 and January 1, 204.
♻️ The Cass County Recycling District Office and Warehouse will be closed Dec. 22-25, 2023. Also, a quick reminder, foil wrapping paper,gift bags and all bows are NOT allowed in recycling bins.
🚏 The Downtown Senior Center and Cass Area Transit (115 South 6th St, Logansport) will be closed on Friday, Dec. 22 and Monday, Dec. 25 for the Christmas holidays. There will be no city bus on Saturday. Dec. 23.

⛪ All Emmaus Mission Facilities will be closed at noon on Friday, Dec. 22 and Friday, Dec. 29 and all day Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, January 1. The Emmaus Thrift Store will be closed Dec. 22 through January 1.
📚 The Walton & Tipton Township Public Library at 110 N. Main St., Walton, will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23 – Tuesday, Dec. 26 to celebrate Christmas. We will reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27.at 110 N. Main St., Walton, will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23 – Tuesday, Dec. 26 to celebrate Christmas. They will reopen at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27.
🏥On Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, the Main Entrance, the Medical Office Building East Entrance, and the Medical Office Building West Entrance at Logansport Memorial Hospital will be closed in observance of the holiday. Patients and visitors should enter through the Emergency Room Entrance.
Main Registration and the Lobby Lab will also be closed on these days. Patient registration can be completed at the ER desk. Valet parking will not be offered on Christmas or New Year’s Day.
⛪ Area Five will be closed Monday, December 25 and Tuesday, December 26 for Christmas. They will reopen Wednesday, December 27.
⛪ The Eel Township Office will be CLOSED December 25, 2023 – January 1, 2024. They will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 8:30 a.m.

🌲 LIVE CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL: The Logansport Street Department says you can place live Christmas trees by your trash receptacle for disposal. Make sure all bags, lights, ornaments and tree stands have been removed.
