Tyson Foods awards scholarships to four Logansport area students in 2023

Last Updated on June 6, 2023 by Tyson Foods, Inc.

Tyson Foods’ Logansport facility has awarded $10,000 in scholarships to four area students through its annual local scholarship program for children of Tyson team members: two $3,000 scholarships and two $2,000 scholarships.

The scholarships will help students with expenses related to their college or university education, such as tuition, books, academic fees and room and board. Tyson Foods awards scholarships to children of current Tyson Foods team members based on academic performance, involvement in school and community activities and financial need.

“Tyson Foods has an ongoing commitment to serve the communities where our team members work, live and play,” said Stephanie Helton, community liaison, Tyson Foods’ Logansport plant. “We’re beyond excited to provide access to higher education opportunities after high school to our team members’ children. Congratulations to the four scholarship recipients for their outstanding academic success!”

The 2023 scholarship recipients are:

  • Carlos Samuel Vazquez, child of Tyson team member Juan M. Vazquez
  • Joseph Daniel Argueta, child of Tyson team member Ruth Ramos
  • Jayce Snyder, child of Tyson team member Jason Snyder
  • Caedah Baladron Scherer, child of Tyson team member Armando Baladron

Academic scholarships are one of the many ways Tyson Foods supports its team members across the country. The company also offers a variety of educational services for team members through its Upward Academy program and provides access to free education for all team members.
