Presidents’ Day is a federal holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February.

We put together a list of the closures we’ve seen reported in various locations:

TRASH PICKUP: Monday, February 17 is Presidents Day, but trash pickup is on schedule according to the Republic Services schedule for the City of Logansport. The next holiday that will affect Republic Services’ Logansport trash pickup schedule is Memorial Day (May 29). See our list of trash and recycling info here.

RECYCLING: The Cass County Solid Waste (Recycling District) Warehouse will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

BANKS: Most banks will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

Area Five Agency on Aging & Community Services will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents’ Day.

SCHOOLS
Caston, Pioneer, Lewis Cass and Logansport Schools will not be in session on Monday, Feb. 17, 2025.

GOVERNMENT OFFICES:
The following offices will be closed Monday, Feb. 17, 2025 in observance of Presidents’ Day:

Cass County Government Building

Logansport City Government Offices

Galveston Town Hall

Walton Town Hall

Logansport Utilities offices are open regular business hours Monday, Feb. 17, 2025. The City Building will be open to use both bill pay kiosks.

MAIL DELIVERY: In observance of the Presidents’ Day holiday, Postal Service facilities will be closed for retail transactions on Monday, Feb, 17, 2025. There will be no residential or business deliveries. Although there will be no regular mail service, Priority Mail Express is delivered 365 days a year and will be delivered on Feb. 17.

  • Stamps are available at most grocery, pharmacy, and convenience stores.
  • For 24/7 access to most postal products and services, go to www.usps.comto find a ZIP Code, track a package, buy stamps, hold mail, print postage online, submit a change of address, schedule a package pickup, and find USPS locations including self-service kiosks.

Post Office will open and regular mail delivery will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
