Update from Logansport Police Department on shooting investigation

On August 15, 2026, at approximately 0141 hours the Logansport Police Department Patrol Division responded to a call for service in the 1700 block of High Street involving a 19-year-old male gunshot victim. Preliminary investigation found the victim had a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital via med flight.

The Logansport Police Department Patrol Division was assisted by Logansport Police Department Criminal Investigation Division, Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Indiana State Police, Cass County EMS, Logansport Fire Department, and Logansport Parkview Hospital. This is an ongoing investigation. No further information will be released at this time.
