Lori Lynn Wilson, 59, of Goshen, Indiana, passed away from kidney failure on Friday, June 19, 2026, at home.

Born August 15, 1966, in Logansport, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Gordon Perry and Lynn Ann (Adair) Wilson.

Lori graduated from Logansport High School in 1984 and from Ball State University in 1988. She was a proud member of Alpha Sigma Alpha and held many positions within her sorority.

That same year, she moved to Goshen to begin her teaching career with the Fairfield Community School Corporation, where she spent her entire professional life. She first taught in the Gifted and Talented Program for 18 years at Benton, New Paris, and Millersburg Elementary Schools. In 2023, Lori retired after 17 years as a Kindergarten teacher at New Paris Elementary School, closing a career rooted in the same school community she loved from the start.

Lori was a member of the 9th Street Christian Church- now River of Life – in Logansport. After moving to Goshen, she became deeply involved at First Church of God, now LifePoint. She dedicated herself to the children’s ministries there, serving in Bible Memory, second‑grade Sunday School, children’s church, and Vacation Bible School, both as a participant and as a director.

Lori always had a heart for animals – from playing with kittens in the barn as a child to rescuing dogs and cats alongside her sister. Together, they had two wonderful Shih Tzus they trained to visit nursing homes and hospitals. George and Myrtle also accompanied Lori to school, where they made remarkable progress working with students who struggled with bullying behaviors and with those on the autism spectrum.

She enjoyed gardening, crafting, and decorating her home for every season and holiday. She was also a member of Logansport’s Niddee Shrine Guild, whose mission is to provide care and comfort to patients at Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Surviving is her sister, Elizabeth Wilson, Goshen; Uncle John Adair, Logansport; Aunt Terri Adair, Richmond, Indiana; and cousins, Brandon (Kelly) Adair of Frankfort, Mitzi (Sean) Rogers, Dawn Fisher, Duane (Lori) Sailors, all of Logansport.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Eileen Adair & Elmer and Irene Wilson; Uncle Jim Wilson; Aunt Marjorie (Wilson) Sailors; and Cousin Diane (Wilson) Smith.

Lori and her sister, Elizabeth, shared a lifelong devotion to one another – a bond strengthened even more as they cared for their father through his final illness. From May to November 2024, as he faced pancreatic cancer, they walked that hard road together while Lori was also navigating her own health challenges. Speaking on Lori’s behalf, her family is deeply grateful for Elizabeth’s unwavering love and devotion.

A Memorial Service celebrating Lori’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28th, 2026. In the LifePoint Church, 1006 S 16th Street, Goshen, Indiana.

Visitation will be held from 2-2:30 p.m. prior to the service in the church.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, 2026, in the Little Deer Creek Cemetery in Onward, Indiana.
