Randy Lee Hayden, II, 46, of Logansport, Indiana, went home early Sunday morning, August 2, 2026, with his family by his side. He fought a brave, short‑lived battle with ALS – Lou Gehrig’s disease – never realizing the weight he had been carrying the past couple years.

Born September 20, 1979, in Logansport, he was the son of Jaunice Lorraine (Leazenby) Walters and Randy Lee and Angie Hayden.

A graduate of Logansport High School, from the time he was old enough to drive, and most likely before then, Randy was helping his dad with the family business, R & R Recovery. He was a “wrecker man” through and through towing cars and helping people no matter the hour, no matter the weather conditions.

If you called during Joel Osteen or Charles Stanley’s service, Randy would let you know he couldn’t talk because it was “church time.” A devoted Chicago Cubs fan, he also enjoyed watching NASCAR. An outdoorsman at heart, Randy found comfort in the simple pleasure of fishing and the thrill of the hunt each fall.

He is survived by his mother, Jaunice Walters; his father and stepmother, Randy and Angie Hayden; his children: Tylar Hayden, Makayla Dowam, and Lexi Dowam; his brothers, Darren Hayden and Devin (RJ) Hayden Jennings; one sister, Alix (Brad) Titus; his paternal grandmother, Joyce Hayden; and three grandchildren, Briar, Stetson and Tylee.

Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Friday, August 7th in Fisher Funeral Chapel.

A Funeral Service Celebrating Randy’s life will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, in the funeral chapel with Dawn Fisher officiating.

Burial will be in Shideler Cemetery.
