Join our Quality Assurance team as a Quality Control Inspector where you’ll be a vital part of maintaining our high standards by meticulously inspecting parts, identifying potential defects, and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Read blueprints or engineering specifications to obtain product information such as specified material, surface finish, and dimensions.

Compare surface finish of workpiece to finish on set of standard blocks making fingertip touch comparison to ensure production of specified surface finish.

Measure dimensions such as length, height, and distance, between reference points to ensure product meets specifications.

Locate reference point on part and measures dimensions such as angle, arc, and radii.

Inspect first run parts.

Analyze inspection problems by comparing part with blueprints or sketches, and devises procedures necessary to measure specified dimensions.

Lay out part on surface plate or positions in gauging setup to verify dimensions.

Test surface finish of machined parts.

Test hardness of metal parts.

Qualifications:

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
