Job Description:  Classified

  • Prepare, process and maintain personnel/employment records for all current and prospective LCSC employees
  • Work with all LCSC departments and building administrators to promote efficient program for administering employee records
  • This is a 260 (year-round), 8 hours/day position

Job Requirements:

  • Responsible for preparing new certified and classified for staff for employment
  • Preparing contracts for staff members
  • Maintain employment posting site(s)
  • Responsible for knowledge of information for licensing needed for certified positions
  • Responsible for disseminating information to employees for FMLA and LOA
  • Responsible for Worker’s Compensation claims
  • Responsible for limited state and federal reports
  • Poster Compliance /Civil Rights Compliance Officer
  • Maintain professional certification by participating in IASBO certification program
  • Other duties as assigned by superintendent
  • Upon offer, applicant must complete and clear drug screen and expanded criminal history background check for school personnel as required by IN state law

Job Qualifications:

  • Two year associates degree in business/administration or equivalent experience in business/office environment
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team with a positive mindset
  • Efficient and accurate keyboarding/data entry skills with attention on detail
  • Willingness to learn, solid attendance record and desire/ability to work with current and prospective employees
