PUBLIC SAFETY, WEATHER & TRAFFIC UPDATES
🚨Cass County residents may hear periodic activations of outdoor warning sirens April 25-27, 2024. Cass County will be working with a maintenance vendor to complete annual preventative maintenance on outdoor warning sirens. | More info
🚧 The 100 block of 20th St. and the intersection of 20th St and High St. in Logansport will remain closed Wednesday with plans of opening both of them up by noon Wednesday. The 200 block of 21st Street is expected to be closed for 3-5 days starting around 8 a.m. Thursday morning. F&K Construction is working with Logansport Utilities to replace water mains and service lines around Logansport.
🚧 UPDATED: State Road 16 between C.R. 1050 W and C.R. 900 W near Royal Center will be closed on or after April 29, 2024 through late May for a bridge deck overlay project. Motorists should seek an alternate route. The official detour will follow State Road 119, State Road 39, U.S. 24 and U.S. 35. INDOT had previously announced that this project would begin in early April. | More info

VOTING INFO: Primary Election Day is Tuesday, May 7, 2024. Voting began Tuesday, April 9, 2024 and continues through Election Day. Find voting hours, locations and info for Cass County here..
LIBRARY CLOSURE: The Walton & Tipton Township Public Library will be closed Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25 to clean the library and make room for a sensory space. The library will be open regular hours on Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
UTILITY OFFICE CLOSURE: Logansport Utilities is installing the new 24-hour self-serve kiosk for utility bill payments the weekend of April 26 – 28, 2024, requiring the customer service office to be closed for one day on Friday, April 26, 2024, as well as, locking and closing off the city building’s north entrance for the weekend. | More info

MILITARY ASSISTANCE
The Military Family Relief fund offers emergency grants for veterans and their dependent family members experiencing financial hardship. To see if you qualify visit in.gov/dva.
UTILITY ASSISTANCE
- NIPSCO encourages income-eligible customers struggling to pay their gas utility bill to apply for additional energy assistance programs available December 1 through May 31. Programs such as NIPSCO Hardship, SERV (Supply Energy Resources to Veterans) and SILVER (Seniors in Indiana Low-Income and Vulnerable Energy Resource) offer a one-time benefit of up to $400 per year to those who qualify. | More info
