Victim found with multiple gunshot wounds

On May 5th at approximately 11:00 PM the Logansport Police Patrol Division responded to 911 call regarding shots fired. The victim, Timothy E. Armstrong, 25, called 911 and stated he had been shot multiple times in the chest in was in the 100 Block of West Linden Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located Mr. Armstrong lying in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso. Shortly after the scene was confirmed secure, EMS arrived and attempted to stabilize the victim. Later, after being transported and evaluated at the Logansport Memorial Hospital Emergency Room, the victim was transported the Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Armstrong is listed in critical condition as of 9 a.m. on May 6.

Through the investigation Logansport Police Criminal Investigation Division believes this was a targeted act of violence. We have no reason to believe this was a random act. We are investigating multiple leads and have two (2) persons of interest. The Criminal Investigations Division is deploying all investigative assets and available personnel to assist in the investigation.
