The annual Celebrate Logansport event on June 4th was enjoyed by all! Numerous people, both young and old, gathered downtown to celebrate Logansport’s birthday, enjoy free music and activities, and eat delicious strawberry shortcake.
Special thanks to all who participated in this event. Extra-special thanks to event co-chairs Judy Lewis and Greg Packard. Additionally, thank you to Cass County Communication Network, Mid-America Radio, and the Pharos-Tribune for helping us get the word out; the City of Logansport, especially Cheryl Alcorn and Chris Armstrong, as well as Mayor Franklin and the city employees who served shortcake; Mike Anderson Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-RAM for the balloons and the use of a vehicle and personnel for deliveries; Logansport Savings Bank for bottled water; Little Children’s Ministry for having a lemonade stand; Pepsi-Cola of Logansport for donating Pepsi products for the Ring Toss game; local artist Teri Partridge for overseeing the free face-painting; Logansport Fire Department for ice; Cass County Arts Alliance and Reading Railroad for providing activities for children; Jason McKeever for the musical entertainment; numerous local merchants for donating raffle prizes; and the Logansport Parks Department and Cass-Pulaski Community Corrections for set-up and tear-down assistance. And most of all, a huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers and to everyone who attended. We hope to see you all again at next year’s Celebrate Logansport event!
