Last Updated on June 13, 2016 by cassnetwork

ahecOn Thursday June 16, 2016 from approximately 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the Area Health Education Center in partnership with Prompt Ambulance Service and other emergency services will participate in a “Responder Readiness Drill.” A mass casualty incident will be staged at Franklin Elementary School in Logansport, Indiana. This is a county-wide mass casualty incident training exercise. Police, fire, and emergency medical staff will be dispatched to the scene and will transport victims to Logansport Memorial Hospital. This event was planned several months ago and in light of recent events these types of drills are increasingly important to the training process.  Neighbors around the school have been individually notified. The community is encouraged to avoid the area if possible.
