Carol Sue Hayworth was named “Rotarian of the Year 2016” at the organization’s banquet and installation of officers for the Logansport Rotary Club in June. Hayworth, was honored by outgoing President Mark Lowry Jr.
In presenting the award, Lowry praised Hayworth for her exceptional commitment to the club and her community.
Lowry shared, “Carol Sue not only served as our treasurer and dedicated board member, she was also a tireless volunteer for our club. She helped organize our steak fry, worked to provide Christmas for 100 needy children, and served at many rotary volunteer events. She provided programs for club meetings, offered prayers, songs, and basically would step up anytime I needed help. As a Rotarian,
Carol Sue has personified the Rotary moto of “service above self” time and time again. She is highly deserving of our club’s highest honor.”
Lowry shared club accomplishments during his year as president and noted raising $14,000 at the steak fry and hosting our exchange student ‘Shu” as highlights. He was recognized for his service by Board member Angie Berry.
