Here’s a quick roundup of things you might want to know as you start your day:

600E CLOSED: Cass County Road 600 E (Cass Station Road) will be closed south of US 24 to CR 250 W for up to a week beginning today, for an access project at the new sand and gravel pit being constructed in the area. More info here.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING: A Facebook post yesterday about people in Logansport being approached by people dressed as clowns got a lot of traction. As always, be aware of your surroundings and if you see something suspicious, report it to local law enforcement or call 911.

ARE YOU#READYTOVOTE?: It’s National Voter Registration Day! If you’ve never registered OR if you’re already registered and want to confirm or update your information, just head to http://www.indianavoters.com/. Representatives from the League of Women Voters of Cass County will also be at the Walton, Logansport and Royal Center Libraries registering voters today.

30,000! Since Facebook launched its campaign Friday reminding people to register to vote, more than 30,000 Indiana residents have, according to the Secretary of State.

PRESIDENTIAL LECTURE: Lee Hamilton, who represented Indiana’s 9th district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 1965 to 1999, will share his insights gained working with seven presidential administrations, from 6 to 7 p.m. tonight at Indiana University Kokomo. USB MEETING: The Utility Service Board will hold their monthly meeting at 7 p.m. tonight. This is a public meeting. See the agenda here. Prior to the meeting, the City Council and USB will meet in executive session at 6 p.m., and then the USB will meet in executive session after the meeting. Executive sessions are not open to the public.

FLU SHOTS: The Cass County Health Department will hold a walk-in flu shot clinic for adults on Thursday, Sept. 29. More info here.

TRAINING SESSION: Bethlehem UMC will host a training on Friday, Sept. 30 called “Bringing Cass County Together To Make  a Difference in the World.” The topic of the training is human trafficking. More information here.
