Here are a few things we thought you might want to know today:

TORCH RELAY: The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay will come through Cass County Friday, Oct. 7 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. You can see the route and a list of torch bearers, locations and approximate times here.

MFG DAY: Friday, Oct. 7 is also National Manufacturing Day and several area employers will be participating in open houses at Ivy Tech in Logansport and Kokomo. More info here.

HOMECOMING: This weekend is Homecoming Weekend in Logansport! Don’t forget about the Felix Express shuttle, which offers free transportation to and from four locations to the Berries’ home football games. The Berries play Lafayette Jeff on Friday night. Read more here.

RIVER BLUFF RUN: The River Bluff Run and Fun Walk promotes breast cancer awareness and it’s coming up this Saturday, Oct. 8. Get more info here.

OBSERVE THE MOON: The Indiana University Kokomo Observatory will be open to the public Saturday and Sunday nights. More info here.

BARN TOUR: The Bicentennial Barn Quilt will be on display this weekend at the Carroll County Courthouse, along with several barn paintings from the Heritage Barn Series, featuring barns from all 92 counties. These art exhibits are in connection with the 2016 Indiana Fall Barn Tour will be held Saturday, October 8 from 9 am to 4 pm in the Carroll County area. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY: A call-out and  interactive training for all potential Delphi Opera House volunteers will be held Saturday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More info here.
