Here are a few things we thought you might want to know today:

The candidates for vice president of the United States will debate tonight from 9-10:30 p.m. Find more information here.

A volunteer committee is planning to bring back the Light Up Logansport Parade on Friday, Nov. 25. An informational meeting for people interested in having floats or volunteering on the night of the parade will be held on Thursday, Oct. 13. Find more information here.

Five Ivy Tech students have been named “Coca-Cola Leader of Promise Scholars” and three of them are from the Kokomo region. Read about the connections to Cass County here!

The Indiana Bicentennial Torch Relay will come through Cass County Friday, Oct. 7 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. You can see the route and a list of torch bearers, locations and approximate times here.

Friday, Oct. 7 is also National Manufacturing Day and several area employers will be participating in open houses at Ivy Tech in Logansport and Kokomo. More info here.
