Last Updated on December 22, 2016 by cassnetwork

Indianapolis – On Wednesday, Governor Mike Pence sent a letter to state employees authorizing pay-for-performance raises for state employees once performance evaluations are completed in January. Employees who meet expectations will receive a 2 percent raise, those who exceed expectations will receive a 3 percent raise, and those rated outstanding will receive a 4 percent raise.

“Indiana would not be a state that works without the dedication and commitment of our state employees,” said Governor Mike Pence. “I am privileged to work alongside the Hoosiers who are the force behind the outstanding services and support the people have come to expect from their state government, and I am thankful for the opportunity to offer these raises based on performance for a job well done.”

The Governor’s letter to state employees  reads:

Fellow State Employees,

Today, I am writing to you to thank you once again for the service and commitment you have provided to Hoosiers all across our state in 2016.

I am privileged to work alongside all of you – the hardworking Hoosiers who have made Indiana a state that works, and the force behind the outstanding services and support the people of Indiana have come to expect from their state government.

Indiana would not be a state that works without your dedication to Indiana and your commitment to serve. I am proud of your servant leadership, and am thankful for our continued progress for Indiana. Together, we make this a better state for the good people of Indiana.

This year, I am pleased to authorize a pay-for-performance increase for 2017. Once evaluations are completed in January, employees who meet expectations will receive a 2 percent raise, with 3 percent for those who exceed expectations and 4 percent for those rated outstanding.

Please accept this as a job well done for 2016 and encouragement for continued productivity in 2017. God bless you and your family with a memorable holiday season and a healthy and prosperous New Year.

Sincerely,

Michael R. Pence Governor of Indiana
