Workman named Logansport “Citizen of the Week”

Last Updated on February 20, 2017 by cassnetwork

One of the benefactors of Logansport’s Huston Park is this week’s Logansport Citizen of the Week.

David Workman and his family contributed funding for the work that made Logansport’s newest park possible.

“His example for giving back to the community set the bar high for our community, but that’s the type of people we have in Logansport who are dedicated to making this a great place to live, work, play and raise a family,” Mayor Dave Kitchell said today.

In addition to Workman’s generosity, he also has served the community as a long-time Kiwanian and ad hoc auctioneer for the club’s annual white elephant auction that raises funding for various charitable functions of the organization.

“In Logansport, the phrase ‘workmanlike fashion’ takes on a different meaning because if Dave  supports a good cause, many others will get on board.”

Workman will receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a gift certificate to a Logansport restaurant.

The Citizen of the Week recognizes Logansport residents, natives and former residents for their achievements and contributions.
