If you’ve been in spring cleaning mode, there are three events you won’t want to miss happening April 27 and April 29 in Downtown Logansport.

COMMUNITY SHRED DAY

The Cass County Recycling District will sponsor a Community Shred Day from 3-5 p.m. Thursday, April 27 at their office at 518 High Street.

Bring your personal and confidential documents and have them shredded while you watch. 100% of the paper will be recycled.

This event is open to Cass County residents only. No businesses.

There is a limit of 3 boxes/bags and the event will end when the shred truck is full.

SPRING CLEANING BLOWOUT

This Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to noon ONLY, the City of Logansport Code Enforcement Office is offering local citizens an opportunity to dispose of unwanted items AT NO COST TO YOU.

Three large dumpsters will be placed in the parking lot just west of the Depot (at 4th and Melbourne) from 9 a.m. to noon.

Cass County residents may discard unwanted items in these dumpsters THIS SATURDAY from 9 a.m. to noon ONLY, with no $1 stickers required.

Mattresses may be placed in these dumpsters without being wrapped in plastic on Saturday, April 29 from 9 a.m. to noon ONLY.
Furniture, building materials, etc. are welcome. NO electronics, NO yard waste, NO tires, nothing containing Freon may be placed in the dumpsters.

Items placed on the ground will result in issuance of citations.

Dumpsters will be removed at noon on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

DOWNTOWN GREEN AND CLEAN

Logan’s Landing is recruiting volunteers to help pick up litter, sweep, weed and trim, and generally spruce up the downtown district on Saturday April 29 from nine to noon. Last year, more than 200 people turned out to help! Volunteers can be individuals, families, or teams from businesses, churches, clubs or other organizations. Volunteers are asked to bring their own yard work tools and gardening gloves with them.
