The man who is a walking encyclopedia of Indianapolis 500 knowledge will make a special trip to Logansport to talk about Logansport’s entry in the race and answer trivia questions from race fans.

Indy 500 Historian Donald Davidson will appear at 6 p.m. April 28 at the Ivy Tech Community College Campus. Admission will be $15. Proceeds will benefit the Cass County Historical Society’s restoration of the 1920 ReVere automobile and Ivy Tech’s scholarship funds.

Davidson appeared in 70 Indiana counties last year as part of the state’s bicentennial observance. Logansport was one of the more popular stops on his long tour. Due to the popularity of his appearance, he agreed to make a return engagement.

“We’re glad to have Donald coming back to the city because he found a rich vein of race fans here, many of whom had questions about little-known facts about the 500 that only Donald would know. He’s a treasure not only to the 500, but to auto racing and Indiana history. We’re fortunate to have him.”
