
Comedy Class and Contest at Logansport State Theatre

The State Theatre is teaming up with the comedians of the Comedy Deli, who are putting on a comedy show April 28 at the State Theatre in Logansport, and are offering the first ever comedy class and comedy competition in the region.
The first of its kind class is being offered to participants 16yrs old and older. The six-week course will teach participants how to become comedians. The classes will cover everything from joke writing and improv, to performing and everything in-between. At the end of the six weeks the students will take their sets and perform in a competition April 18, with a final on the 19. The winning comedian will receive a trophy and the chance to perform with Comedy Deli the very next week on April 28 at the State Theater! There are other prizes that will be announced during classes
The course dates are:
March 10, 17, 24 & 31
April 7 and 14
The classes will run on those Saturdays from 12p-3p. Course materials will be provided for students. Cost will be $10 per student, which can be paid at each class, or one-time payment of forty dollars for all six classes. Class size is limited so anyone interested is encouraged to sign up immediately.
