Logansport Memorial Hospital becomes one of the newest sponsors of Logansport Community School Corporation programming and the athletic facilities at Logansport High School this year, pledging a $500,000 long- term commitment over the next ten years to the Logansport Community School Corporation (LCSC). Logansport Memorial Hospital will be providing medical care for the athletes throughout the year, with an employed athletic trainer on-site at the high school and with LMH orthopedics providers on the sidelines at large sporting events.

Logansport Memorial Hospital is very pleased to embark on this new and exciting partnership with the Logansport Community School Corporation and its athletic department. “As a community hospital, it’s important that we build relationships with other key partners in the community, and we knew there was a need for on-site sports medicine and orthopedics care in the Logansport athletic facilities,” comments Perry Gay, President and CEO. “This partnership will allow for us to have a visible presence in the physical facilities, and also complements the presence our providers will have in working directly with the student athletes at various sporting events. It is important for local Cass County students to trust the providers who may care for them in any situation, whether it’s for ongoing maintenance of a s ports injury or in an emergency situation on the court or field. We are committed to building that trust and are grateful for
the opportunity to do that in partnership with the Logansport Community School Corporation.”

Logansport Community School Corporation Superintendent Michele Starkey says, “LCSC is delighted about the new partnership with LMH. Both organizations seek to promote wellness and care for students in the community, so the partnership is a natural fit. I look forward to the opportunities that may grow from this bridge of education and health care, fostering development of healthy lifestyles that will hopefully improve our students’ overall well-being.”

Signage is being posted soon, before the start of sectionals for Boys Basketball.

Signage will consist of two banners along the side of the ceiling scoreboard in the Berry Bowl, a sign on the scoreboard at the Jim Turner baseball field, and a sign above the press box at the newly renamed Logansport Memorial Hospital football stadium. A ribbon -cutting for the renamed stadium will be scheduled at a later date in the spring of this year. In addition, pole banners will be posted through the campus parking lots to highlight Logansport Memorial Hospital as the official healthcare partner for LCSC.
