Residents are invited to envision Logansport’s future at an event Tuesday, April 10, hosted by Logansport’s Hometown Collaboration Initiative (HCI) team.
“Logansport Re-Imagined: Creating A Uniquely Better Community”, has been developed by a team of local residents. It is based on input obtained from a survey of nearly 2,000 residents, a community forum attended by more than 100 people, and numerous meetings and conversations throughout the HCI process which began in the fall of 2016. HCI program partners include the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs, Purdue University and Ball State University.
The ultimate goal of HCI is empowering people to commit to working together to make a difference in their communities, both now and in the future. The vision for Logansport’s HCI is that the people of Logansport are actively engaged in creating and promoting a community where they are proud to live, work and play.Anyone who is interested in being part of the discussion is invited to attend the event on April 10 to learn about the next phase of HCI, discuss ways that you can be involved in creating plans for your neighborhood and engage with local leaders and meet your neighbors.
The Logansport Re-Imagined kickoff event will be held at The Bridge / Intersection Coffee Shop at 301 E. Linden Ave. Doors will open at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 10. A presentation and program are scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
