Bridge on U.S. 24 in Cass County to be one lane during replacement project

CASS COUNTY — The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces the bridge over Crooked Creek on U.S. 24, five miles west of U.S. 35 between Lake Cicott and Logansport, will be restricted to one lane with a temporary signal directing traffic starting Monday, May 7 through the end of October. Crews will be replacing the bridge.

State road detours must be along state-maintained roadways only. Though traffic will be able to cross the bridge, there will be a 10-foot width restriction in place. So, wide loads will be detoured as follows: Eastbound U.S. 24 drivers will be detoured south on U.S. 421, east on SR 25, north on U.S. 35/U.S. 24 and back to U.S. 24. Westbound U.S. 24 drivers will be detoured south on U.S. 35/U.S. 24, west on SR 25, north on U.S. 421 and back to U.S. 24.
