Lafayette, Ind. – Employees from Monsanto recommended Food Finders Food Bank to receive a $20,000 grant from the Monsanto Fund. Funds from the grant will be used to support the Mobile Pantry Program throughout Food Finders’ 16-county service area.
“The Mobile Pantry Program is the best method for reaching hungry people in rural communities. We are able to distribute enough food to provide 4,167 meals in two hours or less, and we can take the Mobile Pantry to the counties with the greatest need,” said Katy Bunder, President/CEO at Food Finders Food Bank. “Monsanto has been a great partner to our food bank, and I am very grateful for this funding.”
Food Finders Food Bank previously received a Monsanto Fund grant in 2017 for the Mobile Pantry Program.
“Food Finders Food Bank is dedicated to providing hunger relief for people in need,” said Jeff Medley, Remington Site Lead. “We’re proud to support Food Finders with this Monsanto Fund grant.”
This year, the Monsanto Fund awarded more than $1.4 million to nonprofit organizations in rural communities to help address essential needs in Food & Nutrition, STEM Education, and Community Development. Nonprofit organizations across the U.S. have received more than $7.5 million through this program over the last five years.
