Cass County Highway Department Chip Seal for 2018

The threat of rain has postponed Friday’s planned chip seal work. The following roads are now scheduled for Monday 10/29:

  • 500E from US 24 to Country Club Road
  • Country Club Road from 500E to 600E
  • 150S from 325E to 500E
  • 325E from US 24 to Kathleen’s Way

If Monday weather allows for completion of the above work, paving will begin Tuesday on 450E between High Street and CR 375N. Drivers should be alert for flaggers and possible delays while the paving work is underway.

Roads scheduled for chip seal work on Friday 10/26, weather permitting, include:

  • 500E from US 24 to Country Club Road
  • Country Club Road from 500E to 600E
  • 150S from 325E to 500E
  • 325E from US 24 to Kathleen’s Way

Any roads not completed on the scheduled day will be moved to the next working day’s schedule. Drivers should be alert for trucks and equipment while the work is going on, and be aware of loose stone after the work is finished.

Roads scheduled for chip seal work on Thursday 10/25 include:

  • 600S from 300E to 500E

Roads scheduled for chip seal work on Wednesday 10/24 include:

  • 50E from SR 218 to 850S
  • 600E from US 35 to 600S

  • 750S from 300E to 400E
  • 500E from 800S to 900S
  • 600E from 900S to 1000S
  • 950S from 200E to 300E
  • 50E from SR 218 to 850S

Any roads not completed on the scheduled day will be moved to the next working day’s schedule. Drivers should be alert for trucks and equipment while the work is going on, and be aware of loose stone after the work is finished.

  • 1080E from 350S to county line
  • 450S from 950E to 1075E
  • 850E from 350S to 450S
  • 800E from SR 218 to 800S

Chip seal work was rained out for Friday, 10/5. The previously announced schedule below will be planned for Tuesday, 10/9.

  1. 300E/275N from 200N to 400E (finish)
  2. 75N from 350E to 450E
  3. 100N from 600E to 700E
  4. 975E from 100N to Eel River Bridge

Any roads not completed on the scheduled day will be moved to the following work day’s schedule.

 

The following roads are scheduled for chip seal work on Thursday 10/4, weather permitting.

  1. 350N from SR 17 to 50E (finish)
  2. 300E/275N from 200N to 400E
  3. 325N from 400E to 450E
  4. 75N from 350E to 450E
  5. 100N from 600E to 700E
  6. 975E from 100N to Eel River Bridge

Any roads not completed on the scheduled day will be moved to the next working day’s schedule.

  1. 350W from 200N to US 35 (finish)
  2. 300N from 450W to US 35
  3. 300N from 600W to 625W
  4. 225W from US 35 to Delaware Rd
  5. Indian Creek Rd. from Myers addition to 275N
  6. 350N from SR 17 to 50E

Roads not completed on the scheduled today will move to the schedule for the following work day.

 

The following roads are scheduled for chip seal work on Tuesday 10/2, weather permitting:

350W from 200N to US 35

450W from 200N to 250N

300N from 450W to US 35

300N from 600W to 625W

225W from US 35 to Delaware Rd

Indian Creek Rd from 275N to the Myers addition

Any roads not completed on the scheduled day will move to the following work day’s schedule.

 

The following roads are scheduled for chip seal work on Monday, 10/1:

  • 50N from 400W to 600W
  • 400W from 100N to 150N
  • 150N from 400W to 500W
  • 500W from 100N to 150N
  • 350W from 200N to US 35
  • 450W from 200N to 250N

Any roads not completed on the planned day will be done on the following work day.

 

The following roads are scheduled for chip seal work on Friday 9/28:

  • 250N between 825W and 1000W
  • 900W between 200 and 250N
  • 725W from 100N to 175N
  • 100N from 600W to 725W
  • 300N from 600W to 625W
  • 300N from 450W to US 35

Chip seal work will resume Thursday 9/27 in Cass County. Roads scheduled for chip seal work Thursday include:

1000W from US 24 to 200S

1000W from 200N to 250N

250N from 825W to 1000W

900W from 200N to 250N

50N from 800W to 850W

850W from 50N to 100N

 

Chip seal operations for Friday 9/7 have been canceled due to weather. Chip seal work will resume in early October.

Starting Monday 9/10, paving work will begin on the following:

County Roads 575E, 250N, and 300N between Adamsboro and Hoover.

This work is expected to take up to 8 working days. The road will remain open, but drivers are advised to take another route during working hours if possible, as delays will be possible.

 

Roads planned for chip seal work on Thursday, Sept. 6 include:

850W from 25S to 100S

100S from 1050W to county line

1000W from US 24 to 250N

250N from 825W to 1000W

900W from 200N to 250N

850W from 50N to 100N

50N from 800W to 850W

725W from 100N to 175N

100N from 600W to 725W

 

Roads scheduled for chip seal Wednesday, Sept. 5 include the following:

500S between 250W and 400W

250W from 450S to 500S

500W from 500S to culdesac

300S from 125 W to dead end

325S from 675W to 800W

Lockport Road from 150S to 800W

800W from 100S to 200S

850W from 25S to 100S

 

Chip seal work on Cass County roads will begin Tuesday, September 4, 2018. Roads scheduled for work on Tuesday include:

  • 975E from Logansport Rd to Railroad St in New Waverly
  • High Street/Division Rd from Longtree Lane to 600E
  • Orchard Hill (off of Delaware Rd)

Drivers should be prepared for possible delays on the affected roads while the work is going on, and be on the lookout for loose stone and dust in the days immediately following the chip seal operation.
