Trine University in Logansport recognizes Crystal Zinsmeister as the November 2018 Student of the Month. After graduating with her associate in nursing degree from Ivy Tech Community College, she completed her bachelor of science just six years ago. In 2017, Crystal decided it was the time to obtain her master degree. Holding a bachelor degree in nursing, Crystal decided to pursue her Master of Science in Leadership. While carrying an impressive 3.89 GPA, Crystal is not only a fulltime student, she also has a husband and a family. Professionally, Crystal works at Logansport Memorial Hospital as the Director of Care Coordination. Taking the entire MSL program completely online allows Crystal to find a good balance between school, family and work.
“I came to Trine because I wanted to continue to further my skills as a leader. With Trine I was able to fit school around my schedule instead of making my schedule fit school. I was able to work full-time and work on my degree. The commitment from all of the instructors and staff from the local Trine office with Betsy and Lori, to the main campus has been outstanding. I could not have asked for a better experience as a student. The experience with Trine has been so great, it has made me think about staying in school to obtain a Ph.D. The value of knowledge that I have gained from the individual classes has opened up a whole new world of understanding for me and I am thankful for this relationship.
