Walters named “Citizen of the Week”

She brought yoga classes to downtown Logansport seven years ago and continues to make her ventures into well-being a destination for many.

Natasha Walters is a self-proclaimed “mompreneur” who is promoting healthy lifestyles and has even approached the city about establishing a community garden to provide fresh vegetables downtown.

It’s no wonder the Logansport/Cass County Chamber of Commerce named her the Businesswoman of the Year earlier this year. In the final week of 2018, she also has been chosen as the Citizen of the Week by Mayor Dave Kitchell.

“We’re blessed to have people like Natasha who turn their passions into places others want to frequent,” Kitchell said. “She has turned what once was a tire store into a healthy boutique that is one of many choices local residents have to pursue an active, healthy lifestyle.”

She is the mother of two and has a bachelor of science degree in apparel merchandising from Indiana University.

She is among local businesses that have taken advantage of the city-sponsored internship program since it was introduced in 2016.

Natasha will receive a certificate from the Mayor’s Office and a $20 gift certificate to a local restaurant. The Citizen of the Week is a program sponsored by the Mayor’s Office and recognizes local residents, natives or former residents for their contributions.
