City of Logansport seeking those interested in revitalization programs

Last Updated on February 25, 2019 by cassnetwork

Logan’s Landing and the Logansport Planning Department would like to thank those who attended the first session of the 2019 Logansport Re-Imagined Speaker Series on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Special thanks also to the State Theatre for hosting the event!

The slides from planning director Arin Shaver’s presentation, which featured information about a variety of different programs currently available in Logansport, including the Logan’s Landing Facade Program, the new Commercial Exterior Improvement program offered by the Logansport Redevelopment Commission and the sidewalk 50/50 program for businesses, along with the Historic Renovation Grant Program and the Main Street Revitalization Program through the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, are available at http://www.cityoflogansport.org/2019-speaker-series-1-followup/

The City of Logansport is in the early stages of determining the community’s interest in applying for the Main Street Revitalization Program (or MSRP) grant.

If you would like more information about any of the programs discussed, or help with an application, please complete the form at bit.ly/lri0119 by March 11, 2019. Hard copies of the form are also available in the Logansport Mayor’s Office, 601 E. Broadway, Logansport.

Through Logansport’s Hometown Collaboration Initiative, residents identified downtown as an important part of making Logansport an attractive place to live in the future, and as a part of their vision for a thriving economy.

Future events in the Logansport Re-Imagined Speaker Series will focus on other topics of interest identified through the Logansport Re-Imagined process.

If you would like more information about ways you can get involved in downtown revitalization efforts, contact Logan’s Landing at 574-722-9345. You can find Logansport Re-Imagined updates by searching Logansport Re-Imagined on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
