Logansport Memorial Hospital, Four County and Tyson address opioid epidemic and create Community Resource Guide

Last Updated on March 30, 2019 by cassnetwork

Struggling with an addiction is a difficult journey, and one of the most difficult steps is determining your options. Logansport Memorial Hospital (LMH) and Four County Counseling Center were named as joint grant recipients from Tyson Foods, Inc. in 2018. The grant award, given by Tyson Foods, provided funding for the development of community programming that addresses the challenge of substance use and abuse issues in Cass County.

As part of the grant work, an inventory of programs and organizations that offer substance abuse treatment and ongoing supports was created to help those struggling with addiction take the first step. Resulting from LMH and Four County’s efforts a Community Resource Guide was developed. The publication consists of support groups, treatment providers both inpatient and outpatient and online resources for those who are dealing with substance abuse disorders or may know someone who is. The purpose of the Community Resource Guide is to serve as a starting point for community members in finding the right option for them.

This Community Resource Guide can be found online on Logansport Memorial Hospital’s website and will soon be on Four County’s, the United Way, Area Five Agency on Aging & Community Service and Cass County Online’ s websites as well.
